Club Room

                             After

This room needed an overhaul!
We wanted to make it feel less like a basement
so we lightened the walls and added better lighting.
We lined the walls with beautiful bookcases to house the homeowner's library.

Before

A wonderful hand carved fireplace mantel at a architectural salvage shop is the focal point.  We flanked it with elegant built-in cabinets which we painted the color of the walls to blend in and keep the focus on the fabulous fireplace.

Right Side

The cabinets offer plenty of storage for games and toys and a television.  I had the cabinet doors swing open to the side so they would not obstruct the view of the television.  I added false hinges to the inner sides of the doors to give a symmetrical look to doors when closed.

Kitchen Cabinet

We replaced the desk in a kitchen with this custom cabinet for much needed storage.

The top section has shelving for dishes.

The top two middle drawers give a large flat surfaces to lay out tea cups and saucers.  Instead of hanging the tea cups on hooks where they clank, this is easier access.  And not least importantly, stores more in a smaller space! The bottom middle drawer is for flatware.

The bottom section is for large pots and pans.

They are so much easier to access instead of fishing them out from hooks!

The bottom drawer is sectioned for easy organization of flatware.

Craft Storage Drawers

Crafters always have so many little things to keep in order.

These wide shallow drawers are just the thing to arrange tools
in an easy way to see everything.

These custom built-ins provide ample book shelves
and cabinets for less decorative items below.

Family Room

Bedroom Closet

In a bedroom closet, I put this sweater tower
with plenty of shelves so the sweaters
wouldn't stack too high.

Mirror

I mounted a vanity mirror in a dressing room.
In addition to bringing more light to the space
it provides a great storage opportunity...

to store costume jewelry!

I chose the colors for this shed.

It needed to be decorative while still blending into the scenery.
